On Sunday, April 28 I return to the Empty Bottle to hawk my wares. This will be the last Handmade Market of the season, as the organizers go on hiatus until next October.
It is fun to hang out at the Empty Bottle and observe all the people wandering through. A lot come to have a drink at the bar, but many are show regulars and like to see new handmade creations.
Handmade Market is a unique event to connect the makers of beautiful things to people who appreciate the unique and handmade. Shop ✔ – Eat ✔✔ – Drink ✔✔✔ – Have a blast ✔✔✔✔
Now in its 14th year, this monthly market includes funky jewelry, glass pendants, knitted items, handbags, clothing, paper crafts and more. The event is held at The Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave. in Chicago.
Admission is free to the public, but you have to be over 21 to enter, or have a grown-up with you.
The Empty Bottle starts serving at noon, so feel free to shop with mimosas in hand. (You can also grab brunch at the tasty Bite Café next door.
A full lineup of the artists will be on the Facebook event page.
I am excited to browse the amazing collection of artists myself. It truly has something for everyone.
