FUSEDChicago is participating in Chicago Artists Month with The Buzz, an exhibit at Gallery 303 at Zhou B Art Center, Chicago. My Malachites have been accepted into this show, and I am looking forward to perusing the works by my FUSEDChicago friends.
Chicago Artists Month kicks off with the Bridgeport block party: three locations in Bridgeport featuring Art, Food Trucks, Craft Brews, Music, Trolleys on Friday October 5, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Participants in The Buzz will host an encaustic extravaganza the weekend of October 19. An open house will kick off the festivities from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday night (10/19). On Saturday and Sunday, in conjunction with the Bridgeport Art Walk, Studio 303 will be open in the afternoons to showcase encaustic techniques.
The demonstrations will include live painting, printmaking, and technique introductions by Kathleen Waterloo, Bridgette Guerzon Mills, Jenny Learner, and Dawn Korman between 1 p.m and 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21. In addition Nicholas DePeder will demonstrate polaroid painting with encaustic on cigar boxes, and Madeline True will showcase photography on tiles.
The Buzz is on display from October 2 until October 30, and Studio 303 Gallery hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday from noon-6 p.m. or by appointment (773-936-3645). Zhou B Art Center is located at 1029 West 35th Street, Chicago, Illinois.
The Bridgeport Art Walk is from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday (20th), and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday (21st).
