This weekend a few Chicago Painters and Artists‘ members explored the Artrageous art walk.
Our meeting point at Hanig’s Slipper Box had two mixed media dimensional pieces.

It was a chilly overcast day, but the rain stayed away and entering the various stores helped us stay warm.

We discovered numerous fashionable stores, and were tempted to shop here and there.

Clark street is also full of eateries. I had my first empanada.
Vapiano’s is on my list to revisit for its food.

We also sampled savory treats at the Meatloaf Bakery.
Some stores had lovely permanent art work as well, or a gallery of work by an artist.

Sculptural pieces are represented as well. The concluding event with art making and food demonstrations is this Saturday, May 5, and voting ends at 4 p.m. that day. The Artrageous Awards Ceremony will take place  from 5 to 6 p.m. at 557 W. Diversey Parkway.

After viewing more art we ended our outing at the Austrian Bakery.
It was a lovely afternoon, followed by an evening at PerficalSense with Kim Bernard.
This artful life is so much fun.
