On Saturday a plethora of local artists will open their studios to offer a glimpse at their methodology and creative habitats to the public. This once-a-year event is a wonderful way to get to know Evanston better and appreciate the creativity that abounds in our city.
I don’t want to make anyone climb three flights of stairs, so I will be hosting a trunk show in Artem Pop Up Gallery, where I have my usual shelf, along with a table full of my current collection.
I’ve been adding a few items this week.
This bangle came out of my RainChain PatternPak Experiment for a Now That’s a Jig! Challenge.
I also was gifted a charm from a friend, which turned into a Northwestern University Cheerleader Angel.
I also gave a pendant a makeover, since the original tulip paper wasn’t quite wearable.
You can also peruse a small selection of ornaments and stakes at the EvanstonMade Pop Up Shop in the Evanston Art Center, which will be open until June 30.
These dragonflies are at the Evanston Art Center now.
It was fun to futz in the studio for a bit after several busy real-life events.
I hope to see you Friday evening at the Art Center or Saturday between 12 and 5 pm for the studio tour at Artem Pop Up Gallery.
