Clearly June is the month everyone wants to frolic and play. On Thursday, Evanston Made is hosting the Evanston Made Sip & Shop at the Evanston Art Center. This all-women event is held from 6 to 8 pm on June 28 at 1717 Central Street in Evanston.
We became poster ladies from last year’s event. Enjoy a night of art, shopping, bevvies, ladies and community. Ladies are invited to enjoy adult beverages and 10% off ALL merchandise. Click here to RSVP.
The Evanston Made’s Pop Up Shop is located in the lobby of the Evanston Art Center (through June 30) and features works for sale by Evanston Creatives.
I had fun helping set up the store in late May, and love the creativity on exhibit in the pop up shop. AnomAly by Amy did a great job curating the display.
One CTA Angel already flew away, and I am hoping more creations fly off before June 30. It is interesting to see what people are drawn to, and I am surprised the Evanston Map Angel is still hanging out there.
My stakes look so pretty in the window, and will hopefully get adopted before the month is out.
You can purchase a wide variety of ceramics, wall art, note cards and journals, wool to get your own knitting on, or super cute fiber arts that make a statement.
Fashion items include oodles of jewelry, keychains, scarves, purses, and flowy tops.
I had fun fiddling with this table during setup, and love Carol Hammerman’s work. 60 artists are in the shop this year, so it truly appeals to everyone. The store is open to the public during Evanston Art Center Hours: Mon-Thurs: 9 am – 10 pm, Fri: 9 am – 9 pm, and Sat & Sun: 9 am – 4 pm.
The Evanston Made Group show also remains up through June 30, and is so vibrant this year.
You can interact with the Community Quilt and Geocommunetrics’ other display.
It is worth coming out and perusing the whimsy and beauty on display.
Outside the “Sell me direct” exhibit catches the eye.
This event is FREE and open to Ladies Only.
I sure hope my key to success unlocks a red dot soon!
There will also be an Artist Reception at Five ‘n Dime Sunday, July 1, from 7:30-9:30pm. Join all participants of Evanston Made at the second annual artist reception at Five ‘n Dime, 1026 Davis. Enjoy adult bevvies, appetizers, community and more!
