Happy Friday!
Once again, I’ve sacrificed blogging time for people time, and the notes that are half-way transcribed need to wait another day or so to become the information-packed blog I want to post.
Strolling the magnificent mile was lovely, as always. There is a Holly Golightly in all of us, isn’t there?
Some days feel like three packed into one as I squeeze freelance conference calls, e-mail inquiries and draft writing into a day “cut short†by a Marvels-related workshop, meeting or a friendly gathering. But I know everyone faces these challenges, and am learning to just focus on each task as it is in front of me, rather than try to anticipate the next one. The day I dreaded most this week due to a morning workshop, back-to-back conference calls and a new evening class turned out to be the most productive and most joyous.
Although the intensity does feel overwhelming, I fully enjoy each moment. I have made all these choices. Some I committed to a few months ago, not anticipating all the energy, momentum and cause for celebration this month held.
The first rejection letter from a call for art hit my inbox earlier this week, but that news was cancelled out with a new show opportunity.
Artrageous still has me excited, too. This event has taught me so much. I’m eagerly anticipating tomorrow’s extravaganza.
I wish you a lovely weekend, filled with joy, rest and contentment.
