I love this infinity design and plan on making more of these beauties. This pendant coordinates red, blue and lime green for a vibrant look. I hand-wrapped 16-gauge steel wire around a jig in a figure eight form, and then separated out the layers for this dimensional look. After that I added on tissue paper dipped in encaustic medium to jazz up this pendant.
This lightweight pendant measures 2 1/2 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide and 3/4 inch deep. It comes with a black satin cord.
Encaustics should be cared for as you would for any fine art piece. Encaustic derives from the word “burn in” and is a process of applying molten wax colors to a surface for the creation of images or decoration that began more than 2 millennia ago with Roman Egyptian wax portraits.
