This pendant is the perfect music teacher’s gift. Pulled from a keyboard primer, this page instructs a student to play a half step on the musical scale. The sheet music has whole notes on it, and the number 8 (from lesson 8).Â
Steel wire was been hand-bent into a round shape and embellished with a violin clef and whole notes. A portion of sheet music was cut out and dipped in encaustic medium. The paper was attached with the beeswax and resin mixture.
The pendant measures 2 3/4 inches long, 1 7/8 inches wide and 1/2 inch deep. It comes with a black satin cord. Pictured is a 16″ cord. See other available lengths in the additional information tab or the drop down menu.
Custom (public domain) music options are available. Please allow 3 weeks for a custom order.
Encaustics should be cared for as you would for any fine art piece. Encaustic derives from the word ‘burn in’ and is a process of applying molten wax colors to a surface for the creation of images or decoration that began more than 2 millennia ago with Roman Egyptian wax portraits.
